Wanted: spare tins of custard from the back of your cupboard to help drench a headteacher!

Donations of custard are being called for after staff and students at Gosberton Academy voted for headteacher Tom Baxter to be drenched in custard in aid of Comic Relief.

The chaotic custard event will take place on Thursday, March 28, and support is being asked for in the form of tins of custard that can be brought to the school – or money donations towards the cause.

To raise funds for the charity each student placed a 20p vote for who they would like to see ‘custarded’ and the head emerged as the clear favourite to get a soaking.

Reflecting on the generosity of the school community, Mr Baxter added: "The support we've received so far has been overwhelming.

“I'm truly grateful to everyone who has contributed, and I encourage everyone to get involved and help us make a real difference for Comic Relief."

The charity raises funds for people facing poverty in the UK and around the world.
