Riders from West Pinchbeck’s Four Winds Equestrian Centre return from the British Horse Society Riding School Championships at Pickering Grange victorious
Talented riders from a South Holland school have returned victorious from a unique competition.
Four Winds Equestrian Centre in West Pinchbeck took part in the British Horse Society’s Riding School Championships which aims to give riders who do not own their own horse a chance to compete.
Just under 20 riders from the centre went along to compete at Pickering Grange in Leicestershire and returned home with rosettes.
Among some of the Four Winds winners were: Anna Taylor won the novice dressage contest while her sister Katie took second place. Temperance Pannell achieved second place in the under 18s dressage competition. Natasha Hadley was second place in the adult combined section. Liz Knowelden and Holly Marie Brown were also placed.
Instructor Liz May said: “It was a really lovely opportunity for people who don’t have their own horses to go and compete in a big venue.
“We were really proud of the way everyone rode and how they supported each other.”
