Boston Road South in Holbeach is set to be closed again
A busy road which has been plagued with a sink hole is going to be closed again next week.
Boston Road South in Holbeach is going to be shut from 9am on Monday for one week while further work is being undertaken.
Lincolnshire County Council and Anglian Water have spent thousands of pounds on Boston Road South, Holbeach, in recent years trying to resolve the problem with the sink hole, which included relining the sewer two years ago - but the significant dip has returned again prompting concerns about the safety of the road from locals.
Issues with sinking in Boston Road South first began in 2019, but these were reported further up the street before moving down.
Excavations and repairs were undertaken in 2021.
And in 2022, the road underwent significant repair work which included Anglian Water relining the sewer.
More than £462,296 was spent on various investigations and works over the years, a Freedom of Information request revealed in 2022.
The road was closed in recent months for investigation work and temporary repairs.
