Covid jabs given to half the population in South Holland
About half of the population of South Holland has now had a Covid-19 vaccine.
The most recently released figures from Public Health England showed that 45,163 people in the district have now received at least one dose of the vaccine.
Since then, thousands more jabs have been administered – with more than 2,000 alone during a ‘Super Saturday’ push from the area’s GPs.
Allied Health South Lincolnshire praised the dozen practices who have joined forces to administer vaccines in the area. Writing on Sunday, it said: “It was a Super Saturday yesterday, with an amazing 2,155 vaccines given across our group of practices, brilliant effort by everyone involved.
“This is the second highest single day of vaccines since we started in January.”
“Another busy few weeks ahead as we move into second doses at pace and continue to deliver first doses to as many people as we possibly can and rapidly heading towards 50,000 vaccines!”
