West Pinchbeck at its finest to mark 40th village show
A year of dedicated growing went on show at West Pinchbeck Village Hall for the 40th time on Saturday.
The annual village show gave knitters, bakers, flower, fruit and vegetable growers the chance of being recognised for their efforts at home.
Trophies presented by the Vicar of Pinchbeck, the Rev David Sweeting, included on to Nicky Boyer for her flapjacks and Victoria sponge, Sue and Tim Barzycki for their raspberry and plum preserve and Ruth Neal for her flower arrangement.
Wendy Houghton, one of the show's organisers, said: "It went very well, considering the hot and dry weather conditions which restricted some of the entries in the flower and vegetable categories.
"People brought in flower arrangements, fruit and vegetables, cakes, handicrafts and children's entries during the morning for judging in the afternoon.
"There was also a chance for people to come and see how they had done, with a raffle and tombola at the village hall as well to help raise money towards next year's show.
"It was open to anyone, both from the village and outside it, and guests said the show went very well, thanking us for the work we'd put in."
