Spalding United beat Banbury United in the Southern League Premier Division Central
Bart Cybulski's fifth goal in as many games fired Spalding United to victory in their Southern League Premier Division clash on Saturday.
Cybulski continued his scoring streak by netting the opening goal in the first half of their 2-0 win over Banbury United at the Sir Halley Stewart ground.
Maniche Sani then sealed the victory in injury-time to secure a fourth league win in five games for Jimmy Dean's side who finished the match with 10 men following the second half dismissal of Lamine Sherif.
The Tulips made two changes to their starting line-up from the midweek win at Royston with Sam Warburton and Connor Tomlinson in for the injured duo of Nathan Stainfield and Jordan Nicholson.
A lively and end-to-end first half saw Spalding create the first opening with Tomlinson latching onto Glenn Walker's pass and curling his shot past the far post.
Banbury responded as George Ball robbed Sam Cartwright of possession but his low shot was safely gathered by Tony Breeden.
Walker headed a difficult chance over after coming in at the back post to meet an inswinging cross from Connor Brown.
Connor Ferguson fired a shot straight at Breeden before the Tulips went close with Cartwright's looping header from a setpiece bouncing off the top of the crossbar.
Banbury thought they had broken the deadlock when Jaanai Gordon turned the ball home but his effort was ruled out for offside.
Spalding did then make the breakthrough just before the half-hour mark when Cybulski's first-time shot from a corner took a deflection off Yaw Nantwi-Ofosu before beating Puritans goalkeeper Jack Harding.
A quickly-taken free-kick nearly caught Spalding out but Cartwright headed clear as Gordon hooked an effort goalwards as the Tulips kept their lead heading into the break.
Banbury made two changes at the start of the second half with Claudio Dias and Kgosi Ntihe replacing Ferguson and Gift Mussa.
The substitutions didn't initially have the desired effect on the visitors as the opening 15 minutes of the second period were very scrappy and stop-start with chances in short supply.
Adriel George went down in the Spalding penalty area under a challenge but was booked for simulation as the visitors' penalty appeals were waved away.
Spalding were then reduced to 10 men with 15 minutes remaining when Sherif saw red after collecting his second caution of the game.
He had initially been booked for a foul before a second yellow card followed later in the half for not retreating 10 yards at a free-kick.
The dismissal gave Banbury a boost as Spalding had been managing the contest well with the visitors mounting a spell of pressure as Ofosu headed over from a corner.
Breeden was equal to Ball's deft touch on a George cross while the Spalding back-line continued to put their bodies on the line to keep Banbury at bay.
Six minutes of stoppage time were then added but Spalding not only safely negotiated it but managed to add to their tally.
Substitute Sani led a late raid and his cross-shot was deflected into the Banbury net to secure back-to-back league wins for Spalding.
