Crowland Town Football Club are through to the semi-finals of the Lincolnshire Junior Cup
A never-say-die attitude has fuelled Crowland Town's quest for success this season.
The Bees are enjoying a remarkable run of form as they chase honours on three fronts this term.
Chris Lyon's side have won their last 16 matches in all competitions as they set their sights on league and cup glory.
Crowland are through to the semi-finals of the Lincolnshire Junior Cup and also have a last four tie on Saturday in the Peterborough Senior Cup.
They are currently fourth in the Peterborough League Premier Division table, 11 points off top spot but with five games in hand on table-topping Uppingham Town.
Boss Lyon said: "I'm immensely proud of the lads to get 16 consecutive wins.
"It's simply amazing at any level of football, but I'm also a realist and realise we've not won anything yet."
It is Lyon's first season at the helm after taking over from Gianni Salerno and Crowland have bounced back after a sticky start.
They lost three of their opening five games after an opening day win over reigning champions Moulton Harrox.
But, since the 3-1 home loss to Warboys Town on August 24, Crowland have won every match since.
Lyon added: "After the first five games where we only won once, I told the players many times that I have to see that it matters and that they want it.
"So far that's what they've shown and it's got us in the position where we're in two semi-finals and fighting for the league title.
"When I took over from Gianni in the summer, my target was to maintain or improve as we've had two fourth place finishes in the last two seasons and no cup finals so I'm hoping this season we can better that."
It was Crowland's terrific team spirit that saw them to victory on Saturday over Lincolnshire League high-flyers Immingham Town.
The visitors had taken an early lead as Crowland conceded a sloppy goal from a corner in the fourth minute.
Led by the sterling work in midfield of Ethan Allen and Laz Stewart, Crowland came back into the contest despite missing the influential Archie Rickards.
They have been boosted by the acquisition of former Bourne Town and Blackstones defender Matt Cox and two goals in the second half secured their success.
Jordan Kirchin headed home his fifth goal in four county cup games this season to equalise before a sublime direct free-kick from skipper Allen sealed a memorable win.
Lyon commented: "Immingham are fighting for promotion from a good league and I wondered how we would react after going behind early on.
"But I was very proud of the passion and commitment they showed and what I saw in front of our loyal supporters was nothing short of pure passion for the badge.
"We have that never-say-die attitude which was typified by Ethan and Laz in midfield as they were putting their bodies on the line and covering the whole pitch. They were both unbelievable.
"Matty Cox has also been a great signing as he gives us higher level experience and, in all this, we were missing Archie who is arguably one of the best players at this level.
"It's brilliant to have reached the semi-final, especially in our county which is very competitive."
Attention will now turn to another cup clash this weekend as Crowland host Leverington at Snowden Field on Saturday.
The winners will face either Holbeach Reserves or Warboys Town in the final of the Peterborough Senior Cup.
Lyon said: "It's another big game against a physical Leverington team who will want to be in the Senior Cup final as much as us.
"We know we have to prepare right and perform to the best we can to give ourselves a chance to get to our first cup final for a few years.
"I'm immensely proud to say I'm the Crowland Town manager and the players are a joy to work with as every game they are showing they want this as much as I do.
"I'm also very appreciative to our supporters as we had more than 80 on Saturday and we're getting a few following us at away games and all this helps us try and achieve good things.
"I do believe that to win anything it's not one player or one team but everyone involved right through the committee, management and supporters.
"Everyone has to be pulling in the same direction and it feels like I have the support of everyone involved in the club, which naturally then makes my job a lot easier."
Moulton Harrox missed out on joining Crowland in the last four of the county cup as they were beaten 5-0 away at holders Crowle Colts on Saturday.
Moulton conceded a penalty after just six minutes which Liam Snow converted before Ashton Short doubled the hosts' lead just past the half-hour mark.
A third Crowle goal five minutes after the break from Snow put the match beyond Harrox with the hosts adding two further strikes through Lewis Greathead and Ben Johnson in the final seven minutes.
The other two sides through to the semi-finals are Ruston Sports and Skegness Town Reserves.
