Preview of the weekend football involving Deeping Rangers, Bourne Town, Pinchbeck United and Holbeach United
Deeping Rangers have been boosted by the return of Joe Cole to their playing ranks ahead of their first home league game of the season.
Cole has come back to the Clarets for a loan spell after departing Deeping in the summer for higher level Peterborough Sports.
The talented youngster made nearly 30 appearances for the Clarets last season with his performance catching the eye of their National League North neighbours.
Rangers boss Johnny Alflatt said: "I had a call last week to say Joe was available for a loan.
"It was a no-brainer having worked with him last season. I know what Joe offers and he compliments our midfield perfectly."
Cole is expected to be part of the Deeping squad which takes on Belper United at the Haydon Whitham Stadium on Saturday.
The Clarets have endured a mixed start to their campaign with a 6-1 opening day defeat at Kimberley being followed by an FA Cup victory at Shirebrook Town on Saturday.
Josh Moreman scored twice, including an injury-time winner, to set up a home tie with Loughborough Students in the next round.
Rangers' scheduled midweek match at home to Sleaford Town was postponed as the Greens were involved in an FA Cup replay.
Bourne Town hit the road for the first time this season after three successive home games when they travel to Hucknall on Saturday.
The Wakes have won once and lost once in their return to the Premier Division and bowed out of the FA Cup at the weekend after losing narrowly to Aylestone Park.
Holbeach United and Pinchbeck will both be looking to return to winning ways in the Thurlow Nunn League on Saturday.
The Tigers host Haverhill Borough aiming to bounce back from their home loss to Framlingham last week which followed successive wins over Needham Market Reserves and Swaffham.
Pinchbeck head to Suffolk to face AFC Sudbury Reserves after a 1-0 away loss at Stanway Pegasus last weekend.
The Knights drew their opening match of the season after a 3-3 stalemate with Wivenhoe at the Sir Halley Stewart ground.
The new Peterborough League campaign gets underway on Saturday with Premier Division champions Moulton Harrox in derby action at Crowland Town.
Newly-promoted Deeping United host Ramsey Town while Tydd have a home match with Deeping Rangers Reserves and Holbeach United Reserves travel to Whittlesey Reserves.
Long Sutton start their Division One season at home to Stamford Bels while newly-promoted Whaplode Drove Rovers entertain Warboys Reserves. Divisions Two, Three and Four get underway next weekend (August 17).
