Lincolnshire Junior Cup and Peterborough and District Football League round-up




A last minute winner from Jordan Kirchin secured Crowland Town's place in the next round of the Lincolnshire Junior Cup at the weekend.

Kirchin struck a last-gasp goal as Crowland defeated Nottinghamshire Senior League Division One hosts AFC Colsterworth 3-2.

It was Kirchin's second goal of the game with Harry Grigas also on target to book their spot in the third round.

Brandon Harker hit a hat-trick as Tydd progressed at the expense of East Lincs Combination Division One visitors Grimoldby.

Kai Scott-Henson also netted for Tydd with Dan Cassidy scoring from the penalty spot for the triumphant hosts.

Holbeach United Reserves saw a promising start fade against last season's beaten finalists Wyberton.

The Tigers had led through McKenzie Lee but their Lincolnshire League visitors hit back to progress with goals from ex-Holbeach player Ollie Pinner plus the former Pinchbeck duo of Chris Shipley and Kristian Gagyi.

Holbeach United Youth, Long Sutton, Deeping United and Deeping Rangers all bowed out after narrow defeats.

The Tigers were beaten 2-1 by Lincolnshire League Division One rivals Fulbeck United while Sutton lost 2-1 in extra-time against visiting New Holland Villa despite a goal from Martin Ward.

Rangers were edged out by the same margin at Crowle Colts Development while United went down 3-2 against Lincoln United Development.

Pinchbeck United Development lost 5-0 at Briggensians while Pointon suffered a 3-6 home reversal against Fishtoft.

Whaplode Drove Rovers moved up into fourth place in Division One of the Peterborough League after a 5-1 home success against Hampton United.

Danny Firth scored twice for Rovers with Rob Parker-Meadows, Harrison Pearce and Avi Vieira also netting.

Bourne Town Reserves remain in pole position in Division Two after sharing the spoils in a 2-2 draw with second-placed Sutton Bridge.

Crowland Reserves were 3-2 home winners against Thorney following goals from Callum Parker (two) and Vinni Ball.

Unbeaten South Lincs Swifts have opened up a four-point advantage at the top of Division Three after a 6-0 home win against Whaplode Rovers Reserves.
