Crowland Town's hopes of county cup glory were ended after defeat in Saturday's semi-final showdown with Ruston Sports.
The Bees were beaten 3-1 in their last four tie in the Lincolnshire Junior Cup as their 18-match unbeaten run in all competitions came to an end.
The Peterborough League Premier Division side had got off to the perfect start after taking an early lead.
However, their Lincolnshire League visitors had levelled within 10 minutes through Andy Janssen before a double dismissal halted Crowland's hopes.
James Wilson put the Lincoln side ahead with 13 minutes remaining before Janssen netted his second and Ruston's third goal of the game late on to seal their place in the final where they will take on holders Crowle Colts.
Crowland still have a final appearance to look forward to in the Peterborough Senior Cup competition where they will face Warboys Town.
Chris Lyon's side are also in contention for league honours as they are 12 points adrift of table-topping Uppingham Town with six games in hand before any adjustments are made to the standings following Deeping United's application to withdraw.
Denis Coelho was in superb form for Holbeach United Reserves in their Premier Division victory over Chatteris Town on Saturday.
Coelho scored all of the goals for the Tigers in their 4-0 home success over the Lilies at Carter's Park.
