Five players from Pinchbeck United Football Club attend England's Future Lionesses Talent event at Sheffield Hallam University
Five footballers from Pinchbeck United's girls team have started out on the England Talent Pathway.
The quintet from the Knights' Under 15s side were selected to attend England football's Future Lionesses Talent ID event at Sheffield Hallam University.
Antonina Such, Freya Willerton, Lily Forsyth, Ruby Forsyth and Ruby Quinn had been identified as players who had shown potential to progress further in the game.
They all play for the Knights in the Cambridgeshire League A Division and also train at Peterborough United Girls' Development Centre.
Goalkeeper Freya commented: "We are very grateful to our coaches, parents and schools for their training, encouragement and providing us with the opportunities to play so many matches.
"It helps us to improve our skills, keep fit, develop our resilience, cope under pressure and work even better as a team."
Freya was one of five goalkeepers chosen to attend while the outfield quartet joined other players from around the Midlands and the north of England who had been invited to attend.
The Spalding High School pupil added: "It was very well organised with new drills to follow and a fantastic experience for us all to play alongside other girls who were of a very high standard."
After the two-hour event, the girls rushed back to Pinchbeck to play for the Knights in a recent league match with leaders Cambridge City.
The unbeaten visitors hadn't lost a match all season but were held to a 5-5 draw by the Knights with Constance Onyinah scoring a hat-trick while Evie Morris and Ella Lynn also netted for Pinchbeck who play the return fixture with the table-toppers on Saturday.
Antonina, Freya, Ruby Forsyth and Ruby Quinn also represent Spalding High School in many matches while Lily enjoys playing for the University Academy of Holbeach.
