Pinchbeck United receive a new kitchen through the Howdens Game Changer Programme in partnership with England Football
A brand new kitchen has been installed in the clubhouse at Pinchbeck United thanks to a partnership with England Football.
The Knights were selected as one of 450 clubs to receive a new kitchen through the Howdens Game Changer Programme
The scheme was launched in April 2023 to improve clubhouse facilities at grassroots football clubs across the country.
Lewis Thorogood, manager of Pinchbeck United, said: "We are thrilled with our much needed new kitchen.
"It means that the clubhouse can be used by the whole community, from our junior players to parents and supporters, and to our volunteers who give up their time each week to support us.
"It's great to see first-hand how the Howdens Game Changer Programme is having an impact on grass roots football across the country."
Paul Day, manager of Howdens, Spalding added: “We're incredibly proud to have supplied a kitchen to Pinchbeck United.
"There is a lot of attention on grassroots football and what happens on the pitch but we believe that off-pitch facilities are just as important.
"Clubhouses are often the hub of the community, and the community that we operate in is incredibly important to us.
"If kitchens are the heart of our homes then kitchens should be the heart of our community too.”
The fit out of the new kitchen at Knight Street was completed by Belmont Carpenters UK Ltd of Spalding and flooring fitted by L&S Carpets & Flooring Ltd of Spalding.
The Howdens Game Changer Programme is backed by football legend Chris Kamara who has lent his support by driving home the importance of grassroots football and clubhouse facilities on his own career.
