He began supporting the club as a teenager before volunteering to help behind the scenes at Carter's Park.

The first memorial match was played last year with Holbeach facing Boston Town who took the honours after a 5-1 victory.

This year, they will take on a young side from Boston United in the third pre-season outing for the Tigers. Admission is £4 for adults, £2 concessions and £1 for Under 16s.

It will be Holbeach's third outing of pre-season after a 1-0 away win at Wisbech Town was followed by a 2-0 defeat against Downham at Carter's Park on Saturday.

Holbeach have further boosted their playing ranks by signing striker Farhan Raja and full-back Isaac Bassendine-Matthews.

The Tigers will open their Division One North campaign with a trip to face Needham Market Reserves on Saturday, July 27.

Both Pinchbeck and Holbeach have received byes to the second round of the League Cup.

The Knights went down to a 1-0 away defeat at Bourne Town in their pre-season friendly on Saturday with the Wakes netting the winner late on through Henry Dunn.

Pinchbeck take on Deeping Rangers tomorrow night (Wednesday) in their next outing at Knight Street while Bourne host St Neots at the Abbey Lawn tonight (Tuesday).

Deeping booked their place in the final of the South Kesteven Charity Cup after victory over Grantham Town on Saturday.

The Clarets were 2-1 winners at the Haydon Whitham Stadium against their higher level Northern Premier League Midlands Division visitors.

An excellent free-kick from Josh Moreman had given Deeping the lead before an equaliser from Brad Munns got the Gingerbreads back on level terms ahead of half-time.

A looping header from Jonny Lockie then won the contest for the Clarets who face Harrowby United in the final after they defeated Sleaford Town on penalties in the other last four tie.

Rangers have recruited striker Ryan Lennon who spent last season with Sleaford Town after a prolific campaign the previous year with Blackstones.
