Spalding United are celebrating Non-League Day by offering free admission to Under 16s for their home game with Hitchin Town
Spalding United are running a 'kids go free' initiative for their home match on Saturday which is being played on Non-League Day.
All Under 16s will gain free entry when accompanied by a paying adult by showing a digital ticket at the turnstile for the Tulips' match with Hitchin Town in the Southern League Premier Division Central.
Also, on the day, the first 100 programmes purchased will be accompanied by a free limited edition pin badge, kindly donated by the Tulips Supporters Club.
Non-League Day was set up in 2010 to coincide with the international break and provides a platform for clubs to promote the importance of affordable volunteer-led community football while giving fans across the country the chance to show support for their side.
Spalding go into the match in ninth place in the division, seven points adrift of the play-off spots, with seven matches remaining.
They were 4-3 away winners at Biggleswade Town on Saturday with manager Jimmy Dean targeting a strong finish to Spalding's first season at step three of the non-league pyramid.
The Tulips boss said: "It will be incredibly difficult to make the play-offs but we can only do what we can.
"It's probably going to be the club's highest-ever league position so there's plenty of positives.
"We've gone from losing three on the trot away from home to winning two on the bounce after Saturday and it's now three wins in the last four games.
"The club has moved forward since I came in and wherever we go from here then we'll keep doing that."
The Tulips were boosted by the return of defender Connor Brown in Saturday's away success.
The experienced defender has been sidelined for several weeks due to injury.
Dean added: "Connor was a big part of us getting hold of the game again on Saturday.
"He hasn't played for two-and-a-half months but he's had a couple of training sessions and got hold of their winger straight away because Biggleswade showed a big threat on second balls and out wide."
After Saturday's home match with Hitchin, Spalding have back-to-back away games against Lowestoft Town and AFC Telford.
They then host Alvechurch on Saturday, April 12, before travelling to AFC Sudbury the following weekend ahead of a home derby on Easter Monday with Stamford.
The regular season ends on Saturday, April 26, with a trip to Barwell.
