Lincolnshire Premier League round-up

Five wickets from Liam Thompson and a rapid knock from Sam Evison eased Bourne to victory in the Lincolnshire Premier League on Saturday.

They defeated Sleaford by 10 wickets after Thompson had led an impressive bowling performance from the visitors.

He took 5-17 from his 8.1 overs while Colin Cheer claimed 3-33 off six overs as Sleaford were skittled out for just 97.

Evison had taken 1-17 from a tidy seven over spell and he soon set about the Sleaford attack to spearhead Bourne's reply.

He smashed six fours and five sixes in his 67 not out as Bourne wrapped up a convincing win in just 12 overs.

Market Deeping were unable to halt their losing streak against unbeaten league leaders Bracebridge Heath despite another strong batting performance.

They made 321-4 from their 50 overs after electing to bat first but Bracebridge had passed their target with more than 10 overs to spare to inflict a seventh defeat of the season on Deeping.

Josh Smith (47) and Sam Jarvis (40) had got Deeping off to a strong start before Aashar Mehmood and George Woods came together at the crease.

They put on a stand of 154 for the fourth wicket with Mehmood making 125 after hitting 14 fours and five sixes.

Woods was unbeaten on 71 at the close after blasting seven sixes and three fours in his 41-ball innings.

Sri Lankan ace Avishka Tharindu then masterminded the Lincoln side's reply as he plundered 18 fours and seven sixes in his 151 not out.

Krish Barla also added 82 as Bracebridge maintained their 100 percent start despite Mustafa Mughal picking up a couple of wickets for Deeping.

It kept them ahead of second-placed Lindum who romped to a comfortable 124-run home success over Spalding.

Opener William Wright made an impressive 186 which featured 22 boundaries as Lindum posted 305-2 from their 50 overs.

Spalding nearly saw out their overs but were eventually dismissed for 181 all out with just six balls of their innings remaining.

Lincolnshire took on Suffolk who recorded seven and eight wicket wins to go top of the Group Two table.

An unbeaten half-century from Kieran Pell saw Suffolk safely to a target of 129 in the opener with Lincolnshire's total of 128-4 owing much to a third wicket stand of 52 between brothers Tom and Nic Keast.

Captain Tom finished unbeaten on 67 but Suffolk got home with 11 balls to spare.

Their second win was even more emphatic with another solid team bowling effort restricting Lincolnshire to 116-7 which Suffolk chased down with four-and-a-half overs to spare thanks to Alex Maynard (40) and Jacob Marston (37) who opened with a partnership of 83.

Pell completed a good day's work by accelerating them to victory with 27 not out.

Market Deeping's Sam Jarvis was part of the Lincolnshire side.
