Long Sutton and Tydd Football Club are through to the final of the Spalding Inter Services Cup

Long Sutton and Tydd will meet in the final of this season's Spalding Inter Services Cup.

The duo booked their place in the final at Holbeach United with 4-3 victories in their semi-final clashes on Saturday.

Sutton had to overcome an early setback in their clash with Peterborough League Division Three title challengers South Lincs Swifts at London Road.

The visitors took the lead in the opening minute with a confident finish from Kieron McConnell following a fine pass from Dan Taylor.

Swifts then doubled their lead in the 14th minute with Taylor again the provider as his pass was laid off by Jordan Olive for Dawid Gos to smash home their second goal.

Sutton reduced the arrears just before half time through Jordan Nyang after missing a flurry of good chances.

They then made a strong start to the second period and got back on level terms when Martin Ward headed home a Jamie Taylor corner.

An end-to-end contest then saw Swifts regain the lead with 18 minutes remaining as Will Smith's pass sent McConnell clear and he finished with aplomb.

However, it took the Magpies just six minutes to restore parity as Jordan Nyang's goalbound effort at the back post was turned home for good measure on the line by his brother Jamal.

Sutton then took the lead for the first time 60 seconds later as Jamal Nyang broke clear before finishing in a one-on-one.

There was still one final twist though as Swifts were awarded a penalty in the dying moments but the spot kick was missed as Sutton took their place in the final.

They will face Tydd in the final as they defeated Sutton Bridge in an all-Division Two clash.

Two goals in six first half minutes from Dan Cassidy gave Tydd early control of the contest before Mark Garner cut the deficit for the visitors.

A cross from Fin Rudge was then deflected home late in the first half to give Tydd a 3-1 lead at the interval.

Ryan Brothwell reduced the arrears after the break before Tydd restored their two-goal advantage through Sam Bedwell-Byatt.

Alex Clements-Limb set up a tense finale with Bridge's third goal with six minutes remaining but Tydd saw out the final stages to set up a meeting with their Division One neighbours.

Jordan Kirchin netted twice for Crowland in their 4-0 victory over Deeping United in the Premier Division with Lawrence Stewart and Joe Strickland also scoring.

Deeping Rangers Reserves drew 2-2 at home to Leverington while there were away defeats for Moulton Harrox and Holbeach Reserves.
