Lincolnshire Junior Cup and Peterborough League round-up
Moulton Harrox staged a remarkable fightback to maintain their grip on the Lincolnshire Junior Cup on Saturday.
The current holders were facing a quarter-final exit when they found themselves 4-2 down in the latter stages of their tie with Nettleham at Broad Lane.
However, they scored twice in the dying throes of extra-time to send the tie to a penalty shoot-out where Moulton were 4-3 winners.
Marcus Parry (two), Ash Coddington and Dalius Kisla were on target for Moulton who recorded a second successive shoot-out win in this season's competition after they had knocked out Colsterworth on penalties in the previous round.
Harrox had defeated Wyberton on penalties in last season's final and both teams are now through to the last four.
Wyberton were also involved in an epic last eight tie as they defeated Lincolnshire League rivals Keelby United 7-5 after extra-time.
Former Pinchbeck player Chris Shipley struck a hat-trick for Wyberton with Alex Beck bagging a brace.
Ex-Holbeach player Liam Ogden and Adam Broom also netted for Wyberton who join Skegness Town Reserves and Crowle Colts in the semi-finals.
Stanground Sports leapfrogged Moulton Harrox into second spot in the Peterborough League Premier Division table after a 7-2 win over Holbeach Reserves. Connor Bell and Kieron McConnell scored for the Tigers.
Deeping Rangers Reserves were 2-1 away winners at Sawtry while a depleted Crowland side lost 3-0 at Warboys.
Tydd went down to a 5-2 home defeat against Leverington with Kelton Stringer and Marcio Martins scoring their goals.
Holbeach Sports were beaten 3-0 by Division One leaders Peterborough City while Deeping United won by the same margin at Stilton with goals from Daryn Whiteman (two) and Ben Catanach.
Long Sutton suffered a narrow 4-3 away loss at Wittering Premiair Reserves with Jamal Nyang, Arron Pike and Keegan Thorpe on target.
Whaplode Drove Rovers romped to a nine-goal home victory over Tydd Reserves in Division Two.
Ryan Ellwood, Jordan Woods and Charlie Bosett all scored twice with Josh Lawrence, Adam Richardson and Jake Lyon their other marksmen.
