Spalding United sign former Kettering Town player Lewis White
Manager Elliot Sandy feels new recruit Lewis White fits the ethos of Spalding United.
White has committed to the Tulips for the forthcoming Southern League Premier Division Central campaign.
The 23-year-old, who can play in defence or midfield, was with Kettering Town last season and has previously played for Corby.
Sandy said: "Lewis is a player that I have been aware of for a long time and I am delighted to have him on board.
"He's a player who leaves everything out on the pitch and he fits my ethos of signing young and ambitious players who want to play for the club for all the right reasons and share our vision."
White is the third newcomer to the Tulips' ranks following the earlier additions of Josh Ezewele and Jonathan Ngandu.
Full-back Ezewele was with Halesowen Town last season while Ngandu finished the campaign in the National League North with Darlington after impressing against the Tulips for Stratford Town in their FA Cup clash.
Twelve members of last season's title-winning squad have also agreed to return for the new campaign.
They are player assistant boss James Clifton, the experienced Glenn Walker, Kyle Barker, Sam Warburton, skipper Nathan Stainfield, Sam Cartwright, goalkeeper Tony Breeden, Danny Draper, Joe Curtis and Lewis Hilliard plus the strike duo of Jordan Graham and ex-Kettering forward Sam Bennett.
The Tulips have added a friendly with National League newcomers Boston United to their pre-season schedule.
They will host the Pilgrims at the Sir Halley Stewart ground on Saturday, July 13, with a 3pm kick-off.
Due to the anticipated demand, tickets will be able to be purchased direct from Spalding United's website in the coming weeks as well as on the day.
They will be priced at £10 for adults, £5 for concessions, £2 for 12-17-year-olds with Under 11s admitted free of charge.
Spalding already have a home friendly against League One side Peterborough United lined up for Tuesday, July 16.
That's followed by a home match with fellow League One side Rotherham United on Saturday, July 20.
The Millers are managed by ex-Peterborough United and Boston United boss Steve Evans.
They are close to finalising another fixture on the same weekend with the first team squad set to be split across the two games.
Spalding will also entertain Northern Premier League side Macclesfield on Tuesday, July 30.
