Moulton Harrox Cricket Club youngster Ruari Drumm represents Lincolnshire Under 15s in their matches against Durham and Nottinghamshire
Talented Moulton Harrox cricketer Ruari Drumm produced an impressive performance on his county debut.
The first team opener was selected to represent Lincolnshire Under 15s in their matches against Durham and Nottinghamshire.
The games were staged at Welbeck Cricket Club near Mansfield in the North East Midlands County Under 15 Twenty20 competition.
Drumm made a solid 23 as Lincolnshire were beaten by Nottinghamshire in their opening Section A match of the day.
He then top-scored with 58 after hitting six fours and two sixes in his 44-ball innings as Lincolnshire lost to Durham by four wickets.
The county call-up was a thoroughly deserved milestone for Drumm who has consistently put in the hard work to develop his game.
Last season, he racked up runs across multiple teams at Moulton Harrox and has been a standout performer throughout.
Drumm has been part of the Moulton Harrox Academy set-up for several years, benefitting from the guidance of club coaches Paul Edgeller and the much-missed Mark Ramsden, who played a huge role in his development.
Club captain Matt Rose said: "We're all extremely proud of Ruari — making your county debut is a big moment and he's absolutely earned it. Just like the rest of us, Rambo (Mark Ramsden) would be incredibly proud."
Drumm returned to the Moulton Harrox ranks at the weekend where he played his part in a victory double for the Broad Lane club.
He scored 49 not out and took three wickets as the Sunday side defeated Ufford Park 2nds by 10 wickets in their Rutland League Division Four East clash.
However, his exploits were overshadowed by fellow opener Flynn McMillan who smashed 16 fours and two sixes in his 111 not out as Moulton chased down Ufford's total of 184-7 in just 19 overs.
Four-wicket hauls from Robbie Townsend and Uddyan Hansana had helped Moulton maintain their winning start to the South Lincs and Border League season on Saturday.
Townsend took 4-15 from his six-over spell while Hansana helped himself to 4-29 as Moulton defeated Sleaford 2nds by 58 runs in their Championship clash at Broad Lane.
It was a sixth successive league win for Moulton who have opened up a 19-point advantage at the top of the table.
They had elected to bat first after winning the toss and made 192-7 from their 45 overs as captain Matt Rose top-scored with 61 while Josh Newton fell four runs short of his half-century.
Townsend then took out the middle order of the Sleaford reply before Hansana ripped through the tail as the visitors were dismissed for 134.
Bourne 2nds moved up into third place after a 22-run home win over Grantham 2nds at the Abbey Lawn.
Courtney Kruger top-scored with 53 while Jon Howard hit 35 and Ton Bentley added 29 as Bourne were bowled out for 184.
Tom Patchett then picked up an impressive 4-19 from 8.5 overs while Drew Kirtland-Blundell, Bentley and Ben Stroud all struck twice to dismiss Grantham for 162.
Long Sutton 2nds came close to ending the 100 percent record of Division One leaders Freiston after narrowly being beaten by one wicket against the table-toppers.
Aron John had top-scored with 30 while Phil Barnes made 26 as Long Sutton were bowled out for 146 after electing to bat first.
Freiston looked in a strong position to chase down their target when they reached 133-6 before Dan Plant set up a tense finish for the leaders.
He took 4-10 from three overs but the final wicket eluded Sutton as Freiston skipper Abdul Moeed steered his side home with an unbeaten 35.
Moulton Harrox 2nds are still seeking their first win of the season after gaining promotion to Division One following a 192-run loss at Burghley Park 2nds.
The home side racked up 338-4 from their 45 overs with David Platt plundering 19 fours and a six in his unbeaten 139 not out.
Lewis Martin top-scored with 48 in the Moulton reply as they were bowled out for 146 with Joe Youngs taking 6-33 for Burghley.
Market Deeping 2nds are only one place above Moulton in the standings after losing by 26 runs at Boston 2nds.
Vaughn Williams and Josh Carder had both claimed three wickets each as Boston were bowled out for 151.
However, Deeping were dismissed for 125 in reply despite Sean McMullan making 44.
Baston were beaten by six wickets against Castor and Ailsworth in Group A of the David Morris Trophy.
Andy Burrill scored a half-century as Baston were bowled out for 111, a target which Castor passed inside 16 overs despite Adam Godley taking two wickets for the visitors.
Spalding 2nds lost by 157 runs against Group B pacesetters Grantham 3rds at Seas End Hall.
The visitors made 241-6 from their 40 overs with Spalding being bowled out for 84 in reply.
