Successful quiz for Tulips Supporters Club raises money for Spalding United
The sterling work of the ground volunteers at Spalding United has been recognised by the Tulips' Supporters Club.
The fans held their first quiz night in the Tulips clubhouse which was a great success and raised £410 for the club.
The Supporters Club approached the Tulips and decided that Andy Gay and Pete Clare, who work tirelessly on the pitch, would benefit from a roller aerator spiker to assist them with their work on the pitch.
Supporters Club chairman Paul Parkin made the presentation to the duo before a recent Southern League match.
The quiz night saw the winners take away a fantastic hamper donated by Sainsbury’s Spalding and there was also a raffle on the evening with prizes donated from many local businesses.
The Supporters Club are very grateful to them for their support and generous donations and for everyone who attended the quiz night.
