Lincolnshire Premier Cricket League round-up
There were defeats for Bourne, Market Deeping and Spalding as the Lincolnshire Premier League returned on Saturday following the previous weekend's wash-out.
Bourne were beaten by eight wickets against Grantham while Deeping and Spalding suffered home losses to Sleaford and Bracebridge Heath respectively.
Reigning champions Bourne's hopes of retaining their crown have virtually ended now as they were bowled out for 121.
Jordan Temple top-scored with 31 while Jon Howard hit 29 as Muhammad Kaleem took 5-32 from 10 overs for the visitors.
Grantham needed fewer than 19 overs to reach the required target as Kaleem completed a fine all-round performance by smashing 10 fours and three sixes in his 72 not out off just 43 balls.
Sleaford leapfrogged Deeping into third spot after a five-wicket win in a low-scoring match at Outgang Road.
The hosts had been dismissed for 123 with Jairus Charles (29) and Josh Smith (25) their top scorers.
Hayatullah Niazi took four wickets in the Sleaford reply but they triumphed inside 21 overs with Andy Hibberd hitting an unbeaten 55.
Spalding went down by 104 runs against visiting Bracebridge Heath who had been dismissed for 180 after batting first at Seas End Hall.
Nilantha Atapattu took 4-21 from 10 overs for Spalding while Barnaby Dring delivered a tidy 6.2 over spell of 3-14.
Spalding struggled for runs in their reply as they were dismissed for 76 with Ollie Dring making 37. Alex Moor took 4-16 for the victorious visitors.
