Stock car round-up

Three south Lincolnshire drivers were in action in the 1300 Stock Cars on Saturday night at King's Lynn.

Caine Parnell made his season debut and finished in ninth place in the White and Yellow Championship.

Reece Crane was back out in his smart new car for 2024 and was going well until being spun into the marker tyres which he hit had.

Joe Bamford was going well in his first heat, battling with the pacesetters, before losing a handful of places towards the end of the race but still finishing in the points with a ninth place finish.

Spectacular stuff was to come from Joe later in the final though when he ended up rolling his car in a big way coming back down on top of John Moat.

Unfortunately Caine and Reece also both failed to finish the final with Stowmarket's Conner Sheldrake taking the win.

A busy Easter weekend is coming up at King’s Lynn with meetings taking place on Saturday (5pm) and Monday (1pm).

Saturday sees racing come from the Unlimited Bangers, 2L Stock Cars and Junior Bangers.

The 2L Stock Cars will see plenty of interest with Wes Starmer, Tom Yould, Rowan Venni, Robert Heanes and Gavin Anderson all in action with Alexus-Jo Jobling.

Monday’s meeting features the annual Wacky Races which will see the 4x4 SUV Bangers, Siamese Bangers, Micro Banger Crazy Races, Reliant Robins and 1300 Stock Cars all in action.

The main local interest will be in the 1300 Stock Cars where Caine, Joe and Reece will all be back in action.
