Spalding United play their first home league match for 177 days at the Sir Halley Stewart ground
Manager Jimmy Dean is urging his Spalding United side to capitalise on a lengthy run of home games after ending their run of away days on a high.
The Tulips have played all 10 of their games in the Southern League Premier Division Central on their travels so far this season due to the installation of a new playing surface at the Sir Halley Stewart ground.
Despite this, Spalding are still averaging two points per game, are the top goalscorers in the division and lay in second spot just one point behind league leaders Harborough Town.
They now play their first league match at home for 177 days on Saturday when they welcome AFC Sudbury.
That's followed by a midweek match at the Sir Halley Stewart on Tuesday night when Spalding host Royston Town.
The home double bill is part of eight matches in the next 10 games at the Sir Halley Stewart, including the FA Trophy tie against Corby Town.
Dean said: "We've been very good away from home and I expect us to be better at home.
"We've got our fans behind us, we've got a great pitch to play on and we're a bit out of the way as well so it's a long travel for teams.
"I cannot wait to be back home.
"We're had a couple of teasers in the FA Cup against higher level opposition but I'm really excited to see what we can do on this pitch now with our fans behind us.
"The boys deserve a lot of credit for what they have done so far this season and it has set us up nicely so we've really got to try and capitalise on it."
The Tulips quickly shrugged off their FA Cup exit at the weekend with an impressive 4-1 away win at Bishop's Stortford on Tuesday night.
Goals from Dan Lawlor, Bart Cybulski, Yusifu Ceesay and Jack Roberts saw Spalding leapfrog their hosts and move up into second spot.
Dean commented: "In isolation, it was a very tough fixture when you bear in mind where they were in the league and we're on the rebound from the weekend.
"It had been a tough and long day and we also had players missing in Matty Bondswell, Maniche Sani and Josh McCammon.
"It's testament to the lads that they didn't just roll over after what happened on Saturday.
"I was really proud of them and I don't say that lightly because I think people throw that word around too much in football.
"It would have been easy to have felt sorry for ourselves because South Shields were very good but we were in the ascendancy from minute one and our front three were electric."
Spalding will be looking to avenge frustrating returns from last season's matches with both AFC Sudbury and Royston.
Dean lost his first league match as Tulips boss after a 3-0 defeat to Sudbury last term while Royston defended stoically for a goalless draw in their visit to the Sir Halley Stewart.
The Tulips boss is expecting some sides to adopt a defensive approach in a bid to stall Spalding at home this term but feels their new artificial playing surface will benefit his charges.
He added: "It can cause problems when teams come and sit really deep, especially when you've got a bobbly pitch or one you can't move the ball on.
"But we've now got a pitch where we can move the ball quickly which should help us break these teams down.
"We know that we've got to find a way of doing it and it should be a lot easier with this pitch."
Goalkeeper Paul Jones has been recalled by King's Lynn with Northampton Town loanee James Dadge now having the chance to stake his claim for the number one spot after playing in the last two games.
