Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalists, the EAGA Gospel Choir to perform in St Martin’s Church, in Stamford, for Stamford Foodbank





An award-winning gospel choir who reached the semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent is heading to town for a fundraising concert.

The EAGA Gospel Choir will perform at St Martin’s Church, in Stamford, on Saturday, December 9 for an event hosted by Stamford media agency 29 London.

Recently named Gospel Choir of the Year by BBC TV’s Songs of Praise, EAGA Gospel Choir reached the semi-finals of ITV show Britain’s Got Talent in 2018.

A 20-piece choir will perform an hour of upbeat festive songs and well-known soulful classics to spread the festive spirit in the medieval church.

The event will raise money for two charities, The EAGA Gospel Charity and Stamford Food Bank.

Pastor Samuel, from the EAGA Gospel Choir, said: "We can’t wait to come to Stamford, it’s a really exciting opportunity to see the beautiful town and perform there.

“Christmas is a time of joy and unity, and through our performance, we aim to spread that spirit far and wide.”

Francesca Donnellan, director of 29 London added: “We are so incredibly lucky to have The EAGA Gospel Choir come to Stamford and spread the joy of the festive season.

“I have seen them perform many times before and every time they have blown me away.

“It’s a really important time of year to bring communities together and there’s no better way than through music, especially when it’s jubilant joyful gospel music.”

Tickets went on sale on Friday (November 17) from https://29London.eventbrite.com

They cost £15 for adults and £5 for under 16s, while there’s free admission for under threes.
