Stamford is one of 29 retained duty system stations crewed by on-call firefighters in Lincolnshire.

The data was revealed in a crewing arrangement report which will be discussed by Lincolnshire County Council’s public protection and scrutiny committee on Tuesday (May 14).

The paper focuses on changes to the contractual requirements of staff which crew eight of the nine Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue stations in the county which employ wholetime staff.

These stations are Spalding, Grantham, Boston, Skegness, Louth, Lincoln North, Sleaford North and Gainsborough, while Lincoln South remains the county’s only station which operates a 24/7 shift operation.
