Barefoot Flooring in Oakham, i10 in Langtoft and Green Oakham Dental Care shortlisted for Small Business at Mercury Business Awards 2023
They may be small but the standard of entries in the Small Business of the Year category at the Mercury Business Awards was mighty.
Barefloot Flooring in Oakham, Green Oakham Dental Care and i10 Limited, based in Langtoft, are all shortlisted in the category and will find out at the ceremony at Rutland Hall Hotel on Friday, September 15, if they have won.
Mark Tilson, a partner at Barefoot Flooring, said: “The barefoot team are really excited to be shortlisted for Small Business of the Year. It’s great to be acknowledged for the hard work the team put in on a daily basis and we look forward to celebrating at the awards whatever the final outcome.
“We are a small flooring retail company and we value the exposure that these awards will bring us, and, along with the chance to network with other local business owners we’re sure to have a positive evening.”
Husband and wife team Anand Parekh and Dr Chadni Patel founded Green Oakham Dental Care in 2016, building on the established dentistry business which was in the High Street for 60 years.
For the team of 12, customers are the priority.
“Everything we do revolves around the patients and their needs,” said Anand.
“We have high standards, not just being clinically excellent but also displaying warmth.”
The dental practice offers teeth straightening, teeth whitening and dental implants.
Dr Patel was crowned Businessperson of the Year at the Mercury Business Awards last year and describes her team as a ‘family’. The firm is also shortlisted in the Customer Care category.
Mark Hastings is founder and director of i10 in Langtoft. The business helps firms in the public sector to reach their maximum potential on digital platforms and was awarded Environmental Champion last year.
Mark said: “The standards of these awards are always so high, and we can't wait to find out the results at the Rutland Hall Hotel dinner next month. We wish all the shortlisted businesses the best of luck.”
Mark is also shortlisted in the Businessperson of the Year category.
