Peterborough City Hospital hosts cake sale for Colostomy UK supported by businesses in Market Deeping, Stamford, Ryhall and Easton-on-the-Hill
Ward A4 at Peterborough City Hospital recently held a cake sale, supported by businesses from the area.
The ward hosted the sale in aid of Colostomy UK because the ward cares for patients with colorectal problems.
Lynsey Saker, from the hospital, said: "The charity is very close to our hearts and we had so many cakes donated and were so grateful to everyone who baked for us."
She also thanked her colleagues Molly and Donna, saying it was a team effort.
Among the businesses that donated were: Lilli's Tearoom and Cakery in Market Deeping, The Brownie Company in Easton-on-the-Hill, Binders Bakes in Market Deeping, Bakes by Lizzie in Stamford and Lamberts Rustic Food at The Green Dragon in Ryhall.
The sale raised a total of £830 and was a sell-out in just two hours.
