Resignation of Oakham North West ward councillor leaves vacancy on Rutland County Council





An independent councillor has handed in his resignation after serving at Rutland County Council since 2018.

Today (September 9), it was announced that a vacancy has occurred in the office of councillor for the Oakham North West Ward, following the resignation of councillor Adam Lowe.

Coun Lowe submitted his resignation from Rutland County Council in writing yesterday, effective immediately.

An election will be held to fill the vacancy within thirty-five days, after the required notice is made in writing to the returning officer by two local government electors.
