Delays on A1 near Stamford between Tickencote and Stretton

Drivers are queuing on the A1 southbound near Stamford this morning (Tuesday, November 7).
A five-mile tailback has built up between Tickencote and Stretton.
There are delays of more than 20 minutes but the cause is not clear.
The average speed through the section of road is 10mph.
