Four further covid deaths in South Kesteven

Four further covid-related deaths have been recorded in the district.

Figures released by Public Health England on Friday (February 25), show that four new deaths were recorded in South Kesteven that day.

This brings the number of fatalities within 28 days of a positive covid test to 324 for the district.

A further death was also recorded on Tuesday last week (February 22).

The number of people testing positive for the virus continues to drop with the seven-day infection rate standing at 425 cases per every 100,000 people.

Although, there has been a 9.3 per cent drop of people taking tests in the past week as the 'living with covid' plan came into force.
