Where to go in South Lincolnshire and Rutland for bonfire night and fireworks displays




The sky will soon be filled with the sights and sounds of fireworks.

Bonfire Night - traditionally November 5 - marks Guy Fawkes’ failed attempt to blow up the Houses of Parliament.

There are plenty of public displays taking place across the county, many of which are raising money for good causes, so take a look through our guide to see what’s happening near you.

Springfields Outlet, Spalding - Thursday, October 31 - Springfields Festival Gardens, Camel Gate, Spalding, PE12 6EU

Entry gates will open for ticket holders at 6pm and the performance will start at 8pm. Adult tickets cost £8, children tickets cost £5 and babies under one are free. Book your tickets by visiting the Springfields Outlet website.

Rutland Lions fireworks display - Friday, November 1 - Rutland Showground, Oakham

Rutland Lions are hosting two displays at their event. Gates will open at 5.15pm with the first display at 6.45pm and the second at 7.30pm. Hot food, refreshments and a licensed bar will be available. No sparklers allowed.

Discounted tickets are available until Sunday, October 20 costing £5 per person (under fives free), £9 for two, £13.50 for three, £18 for four and £22.50 for five via the Rutland Lions Facebook page or Ticketebo.Tickets on the gate are £10 (under fives free) with cash and card payments accepted.

Blue badge parking is available at the showground with all other parking at Lands’ End, Mecc Alte, Cabel and Tungsten Business Park car parks.

Belvoir Castle Bonfire Night event - Friday, November 1 - Belvoir Castle, Grantham

Fireworks display, food and drink stalls and shopping at the retail village. Entry from 5pm, bonfire lit at 6.30pm at fireworks at 8pm. Tickets cost £15 for adults, £10 for three to 16 year olds and £45 for a family of up to two adults and three children from www.belvoircastle.com

Pinchbeck Fireworks Extravaganza - Friday, November 1 - Pinchbeck United Sports Bar, Glebe Field, Knight Street

Gates will open at 5.30pm with a display set for 7.30pm. Entry is £5 for adults and £2.50 for under-16s. There will also be live music, stalls, fair ground games and hot food and drink.

Stamford Kiwanis bonfire and fireworks - Saturday, November 2 - Stamford Welland Academy, Green Lane

Gates open at 5pm for children’s entertainment, hot food and mulled wine ahead of the bonfire and firework displays. Entry is payable on the gate priced £7 for adults, £3 for children and 3-15 and free for under 3s. Proceeds go to charities in and around Stamford.

Bourne Firework Spectacular - Saturday, November 2 - The Wellhead, Bourne

Bourne and District Round Table and Bourne Abbey Primary Academy’s PTFA will host an evening of entertainment with two fireworks displays, live music, fair rides, a food court and beer tent. Gates open at 3.30pm with a quiet children’s musical fireworks display at 5.15pm followed by the main display at 6.30pm. Tickets cost £10 for adults, £5 for children or £25 for a family ticket from www.bournefireworks.co.uk

Crowland Fireworks Display - Saturday , November 2 - Snowden Field

Gates open at 5pm. Entry is free but donations are welcome and parking costs £2 per car. There will also be food and drink, glowsticks, fairground stalls and a bouncy castle.

Bingham Fireworks Display - Saturday, November 2 - Bingham Town Sports Club in Butt Field.

The gates will open at 5.30 and the bonfire will start at 6pm to then be followed by two firework displays, one at 7pm and the last one at 8pm.

Adult tickets are £5, children £3 and family tickets, including two adults and two children are £14. Children under the age of two enter for free.

Caythorpe and Frieston Parish Council firework display - Saturday, November 2 - Caythorpe Cricket Club.

Gates open at 5pm and the display is at 7pm. The bar at the social club will be open and serving hot dogs and jacket potatoes. Tickets will work on a donation basis.

Baston Firework Extravaganza - Sunday, November 3 - Brudenell Playing Fields, Baston, PE6 9PA

Organisers are promising two spectacular fireworks displays which are choreographed to music. There will also be a funfair and food stalls. Gates open at 3pm with the children’s display at 5.30pm and the main display at 7pm. Tickets must be bought in advance from Baston Post Office using cash - there will be none available on the night.

Discounted tickets are available until Sunday, October 27 priced £10 for adults, £5 for children aged five to 16 and £25 for a family ticket (two adults and three children). Tickets bought from Monday, October 28 onwards will cost £15 for adults, £5 for children and £35 for a family ticket. Full details are available at www.bastonfireworks.com

Firework display - Monday, November 4 - King’s Cliffe Rectory Garden

Entry from 5pm. Tickets from J Wooding greengrocers, the village pub or the church on Friday mornings or after Sunday services.

Gates from 5.30pm, fireworks at 7pmfree entry, donations welcome - all weather permitting.

Bonfire Night fireworks display - Tuesday, November 5 - White Hart, Ufford

The bonfire will be lit at 6.45pm followed by fireworks at 7.15pm. There will be a hog roast, pizza shack and outdoor bar plus free toffee apples. Entry is £3 per adult or two for £5, children free.

Colsterworth fireworks display - Saturday, November 9 - Colsterworth Sports and Social Club

The bonfire will be lit at 6.30pm with fireworks at 7.15pm. There will be a barbecue, jacket potatoes, bar, stalls and fair rides. Entry is £2 per person, under 5s free.
