Bourne trader highlights road safety fears caused by a puddle in South Street
Gnomes and rubber ducks have been placed alongside a nine-metre puddle to highlight the danger it is causing.
Lee Black fears the puddle in South Street, Bourne, will cause an accident because it is blocking people from using the crossing.
Mr Black, who runs Mod n Ink, has already seen an incident involving mobility scooter and a school child, says the problem is caused by a blocked drain and has been going on for a year - but no-one is taking responsibility.
He said: "Someone is going to get hit - it is inevitable.
"People are no longer using the crossing because they can't walk through the puddle - it's six inches deep and nine metres long."
To highlight the issue in a fun way, Mr Black has left rubber ducks on the puddle and even a life jacket.
Today he has placed gnomes next to the puddle with a note highlighting the problem.
