Deepings councillor gives South Kesteven District Council ward member grant to renovate park in Market Deeping

Deepings councillor Bob Broughton got his hands dirty as he dug in to help renovate Cherry Tree Park in Market Deeping.

As well as donating £110 from his South Kesteven District Council ward member grant fund for a new baby swing seat, he also helped out young volunteers to spruce the place up.

He said: “The National Citizenship Scheme group has cleaned up and renovated Cherry Tree Park in Market Deeping, and I joined in to help make a difference here. I worked with them for a week and helped them get the place ship-shape again."

The playarea, cared for by the Friends of Cherry Tree Park, is now renovated so that it can be used by the community again.
