Green Party candidate wins Ryhall and Casterton seat by-election for Rutland County Council




A Green Party candidate has been elected as ward member for Ryhall and Casterton on Rutland County Council following a by-election yesterday (Thursday, March 10).

Rick Wilson was elected with 281 votes and will serve as a Rutland county councillor until the next round of normal council elections in 2023.

  • Richard Foster, Conservative Party candidate – 268 votes
  • Rick Wilson, Green Party candidate – 281 votes: ELECTED

The by-election was held after Richard Coleman, a Conservative, resigned.
