Uppingham Rotary Club marks International Women's Day with talk

Uppingham Rotary Club marked International Women’s Day on March 8 with a breakfast meeting in the Falcon Hotel’s Garden Room.

This year’s President, Colin Gordon, welcomed Rutland’s Lord Lieutenant, Dr Sarah Furness, and over 60 guests including fellow Rotarians from Kettering, Oakham and Stamford.

He went on to introduce each of the three speakers; Elizabeth Sargeant, NHS director of integration for Kent, Phillipa Wills, managing director of Arnold Wills and Co Ltd and Barbara Crellin, local first responder and charity champion.
