Artist Kate brings international art to Lincolnshire village
Artist Kate Genever has brought international art to a Lincolnshire village through a novel way of showcasing work to the public during lockdown.
Kate has used the front garden of her Uffington home as an open air exhibition to display the work of local, national and international artists from as far afield as Poland and San Francisco around a flagpole and noticeboard.
"Each artist has commented on the benefit of showing their work in an inclusive setting, with all of them saying how it’s brought new people to their work and made them consider new ways to exhibit," said Kate.
The Notice Board project has attracted art lovers to the village as well as a worldwide following on social media, and has been supported by South Kesteven District Council through a Creative Artists’ Small Grant Award.
