Liberal Democrat candidate wins Oakham South by-election for Rutland County Council

Paul Browne (Liberal Democrat) has been elected as ward member for Oakham South following a by-election for Rutland County Council yesterday (Thursday, August 19).
He was elected with 886 votes and will serve as a Rutland County Councillor until the next round of normal elections in 2023.
The full result was:
- Burton, Edward Andrew (The Conservative Party Candidate): 420
- Browne, Paul Morley (Liberal Democrat): 886 - ELECTED
The election took place following the resignation of Nick Woodley (Con).
