Lincolnshire Police arrest man, 34, for suspected assault and possession of weapon in Stamford

There was a large police presence in Stamford this morning (Sunday, June 23) after a suspected assault.

Police officers were called to New Cross Road at 4.07am this morning due to a concern for safety.

A 34-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault and possession of an offensive weapon.

Readers reported seeing a large police presence.
