McCarthy and Stone team hand over cheque to Anna’s Hope

The site team at McCarthy and Stone’s forthcoming Stamford development, Stukeley Court, have swapped hard hats for tutus and fairy wings to show their support for Anna’s Hope.

The retirement housebuilder recently donated £500 to help fund the charity’s fantastic work as part of a community appeal.

Anna’s Hope supports children and young people diagnosed with brain tumours.

Carole Hughes, of Anna’s Hope, said: “Donations of this kind are extremely important to us – we are completely self-funded, so without them our small number of dedicated and hardworking volunteers wouldn’t be able to carry out the wonderful work to ensure we can give young people with brain tumours the best chance possible.

“Practical support from businesses such as McCarthy and Stone means that we can continue to put in the year-round effort to keep giving hope to patients and their families.”

Regional sales and marketing director at McCarthy and Stone East Midlands Cheryl Bissett added: “As a company, we appreciate that our responsibility is not only to build quality, purpose-built retirement properties, but also to create a positive legacy in the communities in which we build. Anna’s Hope does such an utterly fantastic job in the area and we’re delighted to be able to donate to such a worthy cause.”

Although it is currently under construction, Stukeley Court in Barnack Road is already over 50 per cent sold. The development comprises of 35 one and two bedroom retirement living apartments.
