Insomnia Coffee Shop opens in Oakham
A new Fairtrade coffee shop has opened its doors to customers.
Insomnia Coffee Shop is attached to Central Co-op in Burley Road, Oakham, and began trading this morning (Friday, February 17).
It replaces the previous Co-op café and its staff will be serving Fairtrade coffee, tea and hot chocolate, as well as cakes and pastries, breakfasts, sandwiches and soups.
Co-op café staff will continue to work at the coffee shop and three new jobs have been created.
The company has grown from a single location in a book shop in 1997 to having more than 170 outlets. It has partnerships with retail companies that include Spar, and Primark. Insomnia also has self-service units.
