Open contest draws a variety

The October competition theme for the Stamford and Rutland Photographic Society was open, meaning that each photographer could choose a subject of their own with an individual picture and a group of four pictures.

First in the individual and joint fourth in the group was Sue West with a dramatic range of sunflower pictures taken near Market Deeping.

Tom Carlill was second in the individual and third in the group. Tom’s pictures captured the action from this year’s Burghley Horse
Trials.

Gordon Brown was third in the individual and second in the group with photos of dancers captured in various stages of action.

Veronica Watson was fourth in the individual competition and first in the group. Veronica captured a very colourful set of butterflies.

Robin Pearson was joint fourth in the group competition with a selection of vintage vehicles from this year’s Little Casterton Working Weekend.

The next meeting takes place on November 15 at Great Casterton Village Hall and the competition theme is monochrome.
