Popular May Fair returns to Braunston

The village of Braunston-in-Rutland, situated just outside Oakham, will be holding its unique May Day street fair on Bank Holiday Monday, from 10am to 4pm.

The event is a traditional May Fair with the occasional contemporary twist and includes the crowning of a May Queen and maypole dancing.

There will also be a thriving street market, children’s fairground rides and family games including the famous duck race, a craft market, a bouncy castle, a tombola, and a grand raffle with some impressive prizes.

This year’s event will be raising funds for village partner, Age UK Leicestershire and Rutland.
