Pupils create poppy display for Remembrance in Corby Glen

Pupils at a village primary school created a poppy display using recycled materials to mark Remembrance Day.

The Corby Glen Primary School children took part in a special assembly on Thursday last week followed by a gathering at village war memorial to observe a two-minute silence.

On Friday, children in Year 5 organised a coffee morning for past and present armed forces and emergency services personnel to attend.

Head teacher Natalie Willcock said it was an opportunity for them to share their "experiences, memories and medals" with pupils and for them to find out more about the heroes, past and present.
