Updated: South Street in Bourne reopened following police incident

South Street in Bourne has now reopened following a police incident.

It was closed earlier from Abbey Road to its junction with Austerby due to a "police incident".

According to AA traffic, police are dealing with a medical incident near to a pizza shop on the road.

Police said they were called at 7.35am today (Monday, August 6) after reports of "concern for a man's safety".

A spokesman added: "We worked with our colleagues at the ambulance service in relation to this incident.”
