SPALDING MURDER SUICIDE: Dad did not have shotgun licence

Police have just confirmed that Lance Hart - who is thought to have shot dead his wife Claire and daughter Charlotte in Spalding yesterday – did not have a shotgun certificate or firearms license.

They say that where and how the Moulton man got the shotgun used in the incident outside the Castle Sports Complex is now a key line in their enquiries.

A statement released this afternoon read: “We can confirm that the deceased was not a shotgun certificate or firearms licence holder and the provenance of the weapon used is an active line of enquiry.”
