Oakham company Sentura Group supports the air ambulance with a superhero challenge




A life-saving charity has received more than £2,000 from the Oakham-based company Sentura Group.

Staff took on the Air Ambulance Service’s superhero challenge and committed to walking, running, cycling or swimming 214 miles in one week.

The distance equates to the perimeter of the five counties supported by the charity - Leicestershire, Rutland, Derbyshire, Northamptonshire and Warwickshire.

The colleagues covered a total of 556 miles and raised £2,115.

Managing director Laurie Pollard said: “As ever our customers, suppliers, friends and family have been extremely generous in their support for our charity fundraising and we thank them for their support in helping us achieve our target for this great cause.”
