Stamford Showstoppers thank guests for support at Chitty Chitty Bang Bang performances in our letter of the week
On behalf of Stamford Showstoppers we would like to say thank you to everyone in Stamford for their support with Chitty Chitty Bang Bang last week at the Stamford Corn Exchange.
Without local people supporting local events we would not be able to continue, but we had over 1,600 people to come and watch, which was a record for us.
We had over 30 local children that joined us on stage, with support from their parents as well. We also want to thank the fabulous Stamford Corn Exchange who go out of their way every time to help with our shows in the beautiful theatre.
To the audience who purchased raffle tickets £300 was raised for the theatre over just a couple of our shows. Our aim is to sing and dance and to have fun. Our cast of members are full of energy and enthusiasm and are like one big happy family. It’s a pleasure to be part of. So thank you, “Stamford folks” really are the best.
Now it’s bye to Chitty and onto Grease, our next show for September. Hopefully see you there.
