Updated: Teenager arrested after man airlifted to hospital following three car crash in Bourne




An 18 year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs and released under investigation after a three car smash in Bourne on Sunday (October 28).

Police were called at 9.27am to North Road near to the junction with Stephenson Way after the crash, which involved a blue Ford Fiesta, a silver Suzuki saloon and a white Mini Cooper.

A male passenger in the Ford Fiesta suffered serious injuries and was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham, by air ambulance.

Others involved in the collision were treated for minor injuries.

The road reopened at about 4pm.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to the collision to contact them on 101 and quote incident number 150 of October 28.

Updated: 4.25pm - North Road in Bourne has reopened this afternoon (Sunday) following an accident.

Police thanked people for their patience, while the road was cleared.

North Road in Bourne is closed this morning (Sunday) after a crash at the junction with Stephenson Way.

Lincolnshire Police's force control room tweeted that the road was "temporarily closed".
