Joyce Lucas, of Oakham, sent in this photograph of Rutland Morris Men performing their Mummers Play inside the Horse and Jockey pub in Manton, on Boxing Day morning.

She said: “A large crowd packed all the available space. The atmosphere was electric and, prompted by noticeboards, the audience booed and hissed in all the right places.”

The photograph shows the Morris team which included Coun Marc Oxley, and the NHS surgeon, alias Uppingham Town Mayor David Casewell, trying to revive St George.
