Four masked people smashed through the glass front door with a sledge hammer, before forcing open the security shutter with the help of a crowbar.

The raiders were captured on CCTV as they ransacked the shop, using large yellow building sacks to steal designer handbags and clothing.

Cavells managing director Corry Cavell-Taylor said: “I am horrified and shocked by the ferocious attack caught on CCTV footage.

“The burglary had obviously been meticulously planned by hardened professionals.”

Mr Cavell-Taylor has offered a £1,000 reward for any information that leads to a conviction.

He said: “I want anyone who has any information that can assist the police in their investigation to come forward to help. I want these criminals brought to justice.”
